Luxury Rooms – Our luxury rooms retain the primary ‘tree house’ aesthetic, with waterproof walls and roofing roof, but with even more comfort – Evening Breeze cooling units have been placed over the beds. Besides, our new water filtration system ensures crystal clear pressurized showers and solar provide all our power. 220V inverter power is available with Wi-Fi in the rooms.

Private Suites – Our two suites offer superior luxury and maximize the best places in the camp. They are comparable in perspective to the luxury rooms but are larger and have an outdoor bath. The perfect base for a honeymoon.

Flatdogs Camp

Flatdogs Camp is the nearest camp to the Mfuwe main gate, which gives access to the South Luangwa National Park. Flatdogs conducts professionally-guided game seeing activities in the National Park, including morning drives, night drives, and walking safaris

A fully-qualified guide leads all our safaris. Moreover, are we proud of them? Absolutely. Their expert skills get you to the best sightings with the fewest number of humans around. We usually reduce numbers to six visitors per vehicle, and our guides use their skills, not radios, to find the game. So that you can sit and listen to the sounds of the bush in the wilderness.

The South Luangwa is one of the rare parks in Africa to acknowledge night drives, and the guides’ understanding of animal behavior squares off after dark. Understanding where predators might hunt, which other predators might be around to take advantage and how to ensure we don’t interfere with the normal behavior of these animals is crucial to your satisfaction.

  • Driving Safari
  • Walking Safari
