The Itinerary
Day 1
Meet and Greet - Transfer to Kiambi Safari Lodge - Lower Zambezi
Our representative will meet and welcome you upon arrival at Lusaka International Airport, or collect you from your preferred pick-up point within Lusaka. From there, you will enjoy a scenic road transfer of approximately three hours to Kiambi Safari Lodge in the Lower Zambezi.
On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by the lodge team and escorted to your luxury tented chalet overlooking the Zambezi River. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and soaking in the tranquil riverside setting before enjoying dinner and your first overnight stay in the beautiful Lower Zambezi
Day 2
Full-Day Game Drive & Overnight Island Camping
Begin the day with an early boat transfer into Lower Zambezi National Park, where you will join an open 4×4 safari vehicle for a full-day game drive. Explore the park in search of elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, and a variety of plains game while enjoying a picnic lunch in the bush. Later in the afternoon, continue to a remote island campsite on the Zambezi River, where you will spend the night surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 3
Zambezi River Cruise & Cultural Experience
After breakfast at the island campsite, enjoy a leisurely boat cruise back along the Zambezi River to Kiambi Safari Lodge, offering excellent opportunities to spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife. After lunch, you may choose to join a guided visit to a nearby village and banana plantation or simply relax at the lodge before dinner and your final overnight stay.
Day 4
Departure
After breakfast, check out of Kiambi Safari Lodge and transfer back to Lusaka marking the end of your unforgettable 4 day safari. Guests wishing to spend more time in the Lower Zambezi can extend their stay with additional nights and safari activities.
