As a family-owned camp, we enjoy the idea of families gathering and sharing the life-changing experience of being on safari together. Moreover, Tom’s little hide is excellent, particularly as children of all ages are cherished here. Built as a recognition to Tom Preston, Tom’s Little Hide is a wonderfully authentic safari house set just along the Hide.
Here children’s laughter echoes the Lories bird’s distinctive call and where adults, exciting memories of the day are restricted. Without any worries of intruding on other guests, Tom’s Little Hide offers the opportunity to let go and relax really. As Tom’s is booked out particularly and comes with its individual guide and vehicle, the freedom continues beyond pleasant interactions. The days stretch out before you, yours to do as you wish. Perhaps choose to explore the park all day, right to the farthest reaches, or enjoy a lazy morning by the private splash pool before the rigors of another afternoon in paradise. You can see that a lot of love and drive went into the creation of this particular safari house. Tom’s little Hide is designed to reflect a modern African style with surprising little unique touches. It is made up three large adjacent rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and each room faces out over the waterhole, which is a constant scene of activity your terrace is as good as any safari vehicle.
The bedrooms are each independently decorated and furnished with dependable Zimbabwean furniture. All the rooms are mosquito-proofed and have fans for warmer days. Rooms 1 and 2, both double en-suite bedrooms, form the central part of Tom’s Little Hide and can also accommodate one child in each on a significant day bed. The bedrooms are linked by a dining room and outside the veranda, complete with sparkling pool. Place three is more of a family tent with an outside bathroom and inter-leading children’s office, which can accommodate two children. Altogether, up to 10 guests six adults and four children – can stay at Tom’s Little Hide. Because of its proximity, Tent 10 of the Hide’s main camp can also be incorporated into Tom’s Little Hide to include two more adults, if necessary.
Meals and activities are enjoyed privately, and in your own time, children of all ages are welcome here, and you can relax and enjoy a unique, spacious, group safari experience with family and friends at Tom’s Little Hide.
