Savuti Camp is located in the privately owned Linyanti Concession along the Savute Channel, a famous as a sporadic and usual waterway. The channel stayed dry for many years. It is only in 2008 that the waters returned and abundant game gathered throughout and adjusted to their new environment. Following the course of a natural cycle, the channel recently dried again, ending in a fertile feeding ground and corridor between the nearby mopane forests for both plains and predators.
The camp also grants support to research projects and ambitions in the Linyanti, especially with regards to the enormous elephant herds and their impact on the environment.
The intimate camp’s en-suite accommodation is in seven large walk-in tents, including a family unit that is raised off the ground. From the camp’s dining area, a miniature pool and large viewing space with fire deck extend outwards on raised wooden platforms, giving a wonderful view of the channel and its wildlife.
