The lodge compromises seven luxury thatched chalets, which accommodate for 14 guests on a trip; as a result of this makes sure that you always possess that extra special attention and a personal touch. The rooms are furnished. Although being out in the gorgeous wilderness, we do not expect you to forgo any luxuries, and the rooms are therefore provided with hot water, and shower facilities, mosquito nets air conditioning unit, and the lodge is provided electricity via a solar system with a generator for back-up.

The freshwater game fishing adventure is an angler’s dream. The world-famous, Tiger Fish, is local to the fresh waterways of the Barotse floodplains. Well known for its toughness and springing ability, has earned the reputation of being one of the world’s most robust freshwater fish to catch. The tigerfish range in size and are abundant in this part of the Zambezi. Large bream sized tigerfish are overflowing. Matoya Fishing Lodge obeys a strict catch-and-release policy to protect the precious fish stocks of the pristine d Barotse floodplains and Upper Zambezi River.
