Our prime boma is best described by the phrase ‘eco-friendly meets dynamic design’ and is the showpiece of our property. Created from beginning to provide top-notch amenities for 24 guests it boasts a beautiful modern pool, an open-air restaurant, bar and lounge with 180-degree scenes of the river, a fireplace, boat jetty, and a firepit area for late night gatherings. All large initial trees have been included in the building including our amazing ‘twin palms’ which meet next to the swimming pool and which the whole building was established around to protect. The Ila People:
Our name was incited by the Ila people, cattle herding tribe dwelling in the valley of the Kafue River. With their unique hairstyle called ‘isusu’ was created to allow fellow members of hunting or war individuals to view each other above the tall grass of the floodplains. We are proud to recognize these exciting people wherever practicable at the lodge. To read more on the Ila people click here.
