It is named after the enormous fig tree next to the boma (central area) facing a sandy lagoon. This lagoon keeps its alluring water during all the season drawing a collection of wildlife, including elephant, puku, impala, zebra, and hartebeest. Predators like lion, cheetah, leopard, warthog, and hyena are regular visitors, and the wild dog has been identified to prey on the concentration of game.
The camp has tented accommodation on 3-meter-high platforms raised the ground, giving a magnificent view of the plains and the lagoon where many animals appear to drink. The excellent location in joining with spectacular accommodation and the diversity of wildlife are the major attractions plus mention the Isolation of the Camp with, the delicious food.
Fig Tree Safari Tents
Fig Tree Bush Camp contains tented accommodation on three-meter platforms elevated above the ground, giving a panoramic view above the lagoon and the fields towards the gate of the camp. We have four en-suite luxury safari tents on stilts two twins and two double beds.
Guests will stay in one of our four furnished tents. Every tent faces the lagoon but also has an extraordinary view of the plains behind the camp offering different opportunities to see the game. Every safari tent has an en-suite bathroom and deck presenting a unique perspective from the tree cover. Visitors will then come together under the Fig Tree, from which the camp is named, to savor the tranquility of the lagoon as well as gratifying food and wine.
