Generally known as “The Gateway to The Kafue National Park,” Mukambi Safari Lodge is midway placed in the park, right on the edges of the beautiful Kafue River. The Park is one of the biggest national parks in Africa. Hence we would suggest you book with us a week in advance, so you have enough time to explore this vast park and joining with the time at Fig Tree, Busanga, and Mukambi. However, shorter bookings of three to four nights at Mukambi will also guarantee a truly unique safari!
The lodge itself made of a thatched building with several decks facing the Kafue River and has an infinity pool, to relax in during hot days, meeting over the broad Kafue River, tranquility reading one of the books from our small library collection. Upon return from your activities, relax with a drink in hand in any of our lounge areas, all of which offer remarkable views of the river. Or, chat with one of our expert guides while looking up at the stars in the night sky beside a warm campfire. Don’t delay to visit our curio shop, which gives a selection of goods made by the local community, or to ask for one of our messages, which take place in the luxury of your room. Finally, look out for the various animals, which find shelter around the lodge area; hippos, impalas, baboons, monkeys, elephants even a small pride of lions.
