A Zambian Bush Camp giving an original Wilderness Safari: Island Bush Camp offers pure wilderness and trekking safaris in the heart of South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. This genuine Zambian bush camp is set beneath the cool shade of old mahogany trees on the shores of the Luangwa River.
With scenes that stretch from the Chindeni hills in the Eastern edges of the Luangwa Valley to the Muchinga mountain in the West, you are performed with the entire natural boundary of this forgotten and achingly beautiful wilderness. Every day is delivered with new practices and never stops changing. Island Bush Camp is established around 3 hours South of Kafunta River Lodge. On the highway to reach this safari bush camp, you ride through the South Luangwa National Park, passing through woods and open plains.
Bush Camp Chalets: The Camp has just five bush chalets tastefully renovated in a simple, chic bush style. They are exposed to the front with astonishing views over the river and allow the qualities of the bush to drift through. Each chalet is built out of simple elements and sits on a wooden stand high off the spot. Cozy beds are directed down each night after tented mozzie nets.
Every chalet has an en-suite shower on the same level as the rooms also overlooking the river. The lavatory is open to the sky, with a fashionable and useful canvas bucket shower, that is supplied with hot water once a day. There are cold running water including flush toilets.
