Day 1- 2/7 - 8: Mukambi Safari Lodge – Kafue National Park
Spend your nights in the wild in our spacious family chalets along the Kafue River or bring your camping gear. Enjoy a day of fishing or simply relax with an evening boat cruise while watching the beautiful sunset over the Kafue River. Indulge in our delicious meals made with the best ingredients or cook your catch of freshly caught fish from the Kafue River. Go game viewing in our specialised safari vehicles or take a walking safari to see a vast range of wild animals in the Kafue National Park. Keep powered up at the lodge with solar power and backup generators.
Experience an opportunity to appreciate the great variety of wildlife, with a morning or night drive in our specially customized safari vehicle and knowledgeable guides. Boat safari or walking safari facilities are also available.
Day 2 - 4: Fig Tree Bush Camp ,Kafue National Park
Relax your heart away at Fig Tree Bush Camp, a luxury camp in an undiscovered part of the Kafue National Park. The Camp has 4 tented chalets, 3 of them giving you an amazing view of the river, a good time to see the wildlife take a drink in the lagoon, with the fourth facing the plains. Each safari tent is fully furnished, with an en suite bathroom and terrace facing a view of trees. Enjoy the Camp’s facilities, an infinity pool, luxury hammock, delicious food (three-course supper) and tasty wine, and a campfire. Also, the end of the lagoon has white sand, why not allow your feet to feel that. The camp is powered by solar energy providing guests with green electricity 24 hours a day.
Day 4 - 7: Busanga Plains Camp ,Kafue National Park
Busanga Plains Camp is located in the remote part of Kafue National Park, an intimate and pleasant camp. This camp is a place where wildlife freely expresses itself, the best place to watch a lion and cheetah prey on the kinds of wildebeest, lechwe, puku and the many other preys. It has four luxury safari tents, fixed amid palm trees and all face out onto the floodplain where the Red Lechwe antelope is easily spotted. Each tent has an en suite bathroom and can sleep two persons, there is a swimming pool, and a 6m high viewing deck that offers guests a 360 view of the plains
Day 1: Meet & Greet /Transfer to Kafue NP
Upon arrival at Lusaka International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative, who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to Mukambi Safari Lodge. About 4 hours of your transfer through the settlement of the local villages, you will arrive at Mukambi Safari Lodge.
Check-in and relax, depending on what time you arrive, have lunch and then you will have an activity to experience, which is either, going on a sunset boat cruise or a game drive. In the evening, have dinner and retire for bed at your convenience.
Day 2: Game Drive transfer to Fig Tree Bush Camp
Morning breakfast is served, followed by a game drive from Mukambi Safari Lodge to Fig Tree Bush Camp. Brunch followed by a tea break and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight Fig Tree Bush Camp.
Day 3: Full Day at Fig Tree Bushcamp , Kafue NP
Morning breakfast is served, and your morning activity follows which is either a game drive or a guided bushwalk in the park. Make a return to the camp in time for lunch, and thereafter have some time to relax with a swim or rest in the hammock overlooking the lagoon.
Then afternoon game drive and return to the camp dinner is served and bedtime at your convenience.
Day 4:Game Drive Transfer to Busanga Plains Camp
Your day will start early with tea or coffee then check out and then game drive en-route to the Busanga Plains stopping on the way for a packed breakfast. Lunch followed by tea and cakes before the afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Busanga Plains Camp
Day 5 & 6: Game Activities in Busanga Plains
On these days you will have breakfast and then morning activity to include a game drive or guided bush walk on the Busanga Plains. Or, simply relax at the camp by taking take a dip in the pool or reading a book on our viewing platform overlooking the Plains.
In the afternoon you will have afternoon tea/coffee followed by the afternoon game drive that takes partly then night then returns to the camp, you will relax and dinner and bed at your convenient time.
Day 7: Game Drive transfer to Mukambi Safari Lodge
Breakfast then departs on a game drive from Busanga Plains Camp to Mukambi Safari Lodge. Brunch followed by a tea break and afternoon activities to include a sunset boat cruise or afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mukambi Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Road trip back to Lusaka
Breakfast is served first, then check out and depart for Lusaka depending on your onward flight time from Lusaka or you will have a morning activity to include a game drive or guided bush walk in Kafue National Park.
Alternatively, you can visit the Mukambi community school. Or, simply relax at the lodge by taking a dip in the pool or enjoy a massage followed by departure for Lusaka.
