Mfuwe Lodge -South Luangwa National Park

You will ease yourself into Luangwa life with a stay at the award-winning Mfuwe Lodge. Set inside the park, just about an hour drive from the main gate, the lodge’s allure is instantly obvious. Beneath a canopy of ebony and mahogany, its eighteen air-conditioned chalets are arranged around the banks of two lagoons where an endless stream of wildlife will keep you enthralled as you lounge on the open deck or take a dip in the swimming pool. The airy interior of the lodge is an exquisite complement to its natural surroundings. Whether you stay overnight or just have lunch en-route to a Bushcamp, Mfuwe Lodge’s relaxed charm and enviable surroundings make it the perfect stopover.

Voted as the best lodge in Zambia in 2009, Mfuwe Lodge also offers you the chance to relax at its bush spa or buy a few mementoes of your time in Zambia at the curio shop. Mfuwe Lodge accommodation has 18 guest chalets (two suites, three family rooms, three doubles, and ten twin rooms). Each chalet has its private deck the chalets are equipped with an En-Suite shower, twin washbasins and toilet, international power sockets, toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, skin moisturizer), hairdryers, personal safe, mosquito nets, and air conditioners.

Itinerary
  • Day 1: Meet & Greet / Flight to Mfuwe

    When you arrive at Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN), You will be met by our representative who will assist you with the luggage then check-in onto the local flight to Mfuwe in South Luangwa.

    Upon arrival at Mfuwe Airport, you will be greeted by a guide from Mfuwe lodge then transfer to Mfuwe Lodge, a 45-minute drive through the Mfuwe settlement area, where you will stop at the park's main gate entrance, where you will spend the first three nights of your unforgettable Zambian safari.

    Check-in and you will have the rest of the evening at leisure, then dinner and bedtime.

  • Day 2 & 3: Explore South Luangwa National Park

    You will have two full days of exploring South Luangwa National Park, you will begin with your breakfast followed by a morning game drive or walking safari, before returning for brunch and some free time.

    Later in the Afternoon tea/coffee is served, followed by an afternoon/night game drive that starts with the afternoon and transitions into a night safari in searching of nocturnal animals such as the elusive Leopard, before returning to the lodge for dinner and bedtime.

  • Day 4: Transfer to Mfuwe Airport/Flight to Lusaka

    Today you will have some breakfast in the morning, and depending on your flight time to Lusaka, you will either do a morning activity or be transferred to Mfuwe airport in time for your local flight to Lusaka.
