Leave it to Zambia, to convince you that marvels exist among us.
Zambia leaves a mark on the African Map, now to the world too, for its rich tourism resources. Not only a home to the natural wonder, The Victoria Falls, but also practices of unique culture and heritage of its local people. We proudly acknowledge that boredom is not in our vocabulary, as there is plenty to learn and experience in our motherland; the different tongues spoken, the various traditional ceremonies practiced, above all, the peace that reigns over this land for a good 56 years since attaining its independence in the year 1964.
Not long ago, the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, declared our very own South Luangwa National Park to be the World’s first ‘Sustainable Wildlife Park. We strive to maintain natural ways of living by making lodges that can co-exist with nature and support locals by buying local produce such as arts and crafts. For our lovely visitors, there is unlimited activities at the lodges that allow tourists to participate in community practices. In incorporating locals, we promote domestic tourism, by encouraging local rates in the off-peak season, to allow local Zambians to visit places like the Victoria Falls and stay in our lodges.
Tourists are rest assured security during their stay in Zambia, as Zambia Tourism Agency is assigned the regulation of Tourism, this is done so through grading all tourism facilities, licensing tourism businesses, this encourages and ensures quality service delivery to tourists. Among our long-term goals, Zambia will not only mainly focus on holiday tours, but will be open to Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) destination.
At the moment, we are in the process of reintroducing our national carrier, Zambian Airways. This development will make Zambia more accessible.
Even though hit with the global pandemic, we are aiming to grow our clientele in 2021, as Zambia is eager and excited to share its marvels with many new visitors.
