This 7-day safari takes you to two of Zambia’s safari and tour highlights. You’ll begin with a three-night stay in South Luangwa National Park, where you’ll be able to enjoy the plethora of wildlife, as well as a famed Night Game drive and the Luangwa Walking Safari.

Then, for your final three nights, you’ll go to Victoria Falls to explore the falls and take part in some spectacular activities including a helicopter trip and a sunset boat tour on the Zambezi River, among others.

The Itinerary

Day 1

Meet & Greet /Flight to Mfuwe

You will fly to Lusaka International Airport in Zambia (LUN). You will be greeted by our representative after your immigration paperwork then you will be assisted with luggage and checked in for your connection local flight to Mfuwe Airport in South Luangwa, which departs around 4.30 pm.

After an hour flight, you will be met by a guide from Mfuwe Lodge at Mfuwe Airport, followed by a 45-minute adventure transfer to the lodge, where you will check-in and rest. Dinner will be served later in the evening, and you are free to stay and go to bed whenever you choose.

Day 2 & 3

Explore South Luangwa National Park

You will get two full days to enjoy game viewing activities in South Luangwa National Park. You will begin your day with a delicious breakfast, followed by a morning game drive or walking safari, and then return to the lodge in time for brunch and free time to relax.

After high tea, depart for your afternoon/evening game drive safari, which begins with an afternoon of game viewing and ends with a night safari focused on exploring for nocturnal species before returning to the lodge.

Freshen up before the three-course dinner is served, followed by bedtime when it is convenient for you.

Day 4

Flight to Livingstone via Lusaka

Morning Breakfast and possibly a morning safari or you will check out depending on your flight and your guide will transfer you to Mfuwe airport for your local flight through Lusaka from Mfuwe to Livingstone.

When you arrive at Livingstone International Airport, our driver will receive you and take you on about a 20-minute road transfer to David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa. After checking in, you will be served lunch and have the remainder of the afternoon to unwind. Dinner will be provided later in the evening, followed by bedtime.

Day 5

Guided Victoria Falls Tour & Zambezi Sunset

After breakfast, you will be picked up for a 1.5–2 hour guided tour of the falls, where you will learn about this beautiful natural wonder of the world before returning to the lodge for lunch and relaxation time.

You will be picked up in the afternoon for a Sunset Boat Cruise, where you will have complimentary sundowner drinks and snacks while viewing wonderful wildlife such as elephants, crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of birds, not to mention the African sun kissing the river. After that, you’ll be dropped off at the lodge, where dinner will be served before bedtime.

Day 6

Helicopter flight & Mukuni Village Tour

Today you will have a morning breakfast before being picked up for a 15-minute helicopter flight over Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River. This is an excellent opportunity to see and experience the majestic Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River from above. Then you’ll be taken on a Mukuni Village tour to learn about the culture and traditions.

Day 7

Departure

Today is your final day in Livingstone, Zambia, and depending on your flight schedule, you will have breakfast first, then check out, and your driver will take you to Livingstone International Airport in time for your flight.

Optional: If this is a good option flight for you, we can fly you to Lusaka International Airport (LUN) to connect with your flight. (Flight cost not included for this option).

Well organized, amazing safari Robert helped us plan every detail of our first safari/trip to Africa. He was incredibly responsive via email, and allowed us to explore a variety of options. We visited the city of Lusaka, 2 game parks, Victoria Falls, Johannesburg, and a Mozambique beach resort. Every step of the way went smoothly.I especially recommend South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi game parks for safari. We saw a wide range of game and our guides were knowledgeable. 100% recommendation for your Zambia travels Robert arranged a two weeks photography tour for us, combining Wildlige and culture (Likumby Lya Mize and Nyau mask dances) and we enjoyed it a lot. Absolutely Great Tour AZS organised a perfect customised tour for us, combining Victoria Falls and South Luangwa nature reserve. Everything went really smoothly from stepping off the plane at Livingstone, crossing the Zimbabwean border, internal Zambian flights, and selecting terrific Lodges. We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed at Lusaka Airport as we connected to our flight to Mfuwe. Would thoroughly recommend - AZS were brilliant at rearranging everything when we had to delay our trip as well. Really good.

The most professional and trustworthy agent for safaris in Africa We have just returned from a wonderful 9 days’ trip in Zimbabwe which was recommended and well organized by Robert from Absolute Zambia Safaris. According to our budget and wishing list, Robert organized us to stay at two wonderful lodges each close to two different National Parks in Zimbabwe and last stop by Victoria Falls. I was lucky to have entrusted Robert to organize my first experience of safari at his own country ( 5 days’ Luangwa trip) in 2019. Same as before, we did not have to think about anything on this trip but enjoying every moment on our safaris, especially the sightings of white rhinos which we mostly interested in. All the arrangements were seamless with only one hiccup, it was not the fault of Robert or his team but the “Imvelo” whose tram services could not be resumed on the date as they had hoped. What a pity that we could not celebrate our special event on that tram as planned. Robert be given credit once again in this regard, he promptly negotiated with Imvelo who eventually compensated us a charter flight to Victoria Fall with no extra charge and had out luggage forwarded by road to our hotel on the same day. All the way through our return to the airport for our flight back home, definitely exceeded our expectations. Robert of Absolute Zambia Safaris was truly amazing and I wholeheartedly recommend him to those planning a trip in South Africa.

Another perfect holiday We were a party of eight, most of us on a return trip (last one in 2020 - also with Absolute Zambia Safaris) under the expert guidance of Robert. It was again a holiday without a single complaint. Pickups were reliable and punctual, the David Livingstone resort is perfectly located on the banks of the Zambezi with comfortable beds, sumptuous food, an infinity pool, and an unlimited supply of food and drinks on the silent but spacious sunset cruise. Robert (from Absolute Zambia Safaris) dealt with all our changes, additions, amendments, and cancellations with endless patience and understanding. It was a perfect holiday, we will be back. Amazing five-day trip Absolute Safari organised an amazing five-day trip for us which included 2 nights in Mwanfushi safari lodge and 2 nights by Victoria falls.
